Course Description:
This Course is open to anyone in the ESD Global community who is interested in gaining knowledge and skills about trauma and how it relates specifically to teaching Empowerment Self Defense. This 6-part web-based training series teaches participants how trauma and the principles of trauma informed care affect our classes and have the opportunity to assess their own classes through a trauma informed lens. They will gain the ability to apply this learning to their own ESD Instructor skill base.

The goal is to have this online training be as participatory as possible. There will be homework each week (approximately 1 to 2 hours). Upon completion, participants will receive an ESD Global Trauma Training certificates. CEUS are pending for social work, marriage and family and counseling.
