Course Description:
Open to anyone in the ESD Global community who is looking for an opportunity to grow their skills in public speaking. Our hope is that this opportunity will help you to increase your communication skills in the classroom, workplace, and communities. If you have the desire to speak at conferences and events, locally, nationally, or internationally, we believe the value of this training can take your message of change to new heights. Graduates of the ESD Global Speaker Training Course will have the opportunity to apply for the newly founded volunteer Speakers Bureau at ESD Global (More information on this coming soon).
The ESD Global Speaker Training Course will consist of seven sessions over a 9-week period. The course meets weekly on Zoom for 90 minute starting Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 12:00PM EST. The format of each class will include a lecture on “how to” on the content subject for that week, followed by group work time to implement what was taught. At the end of each class, if needed, deadlines will be assigned. After session 6, between August 31-September 11 each course participant will present and record and share a webinar in collaboration with ESD Global. What a great way to practice new skills! The final session will meet on Wednesday September 16th.
